Judges are the elected officials with the most direct and personal impact on our lives. Judges decide parenting issues, consumer rights, property and estate disputes, orders of protection, and many other important issues.
Because judges make decisions that seriously affect us, we need them to have a unique set of abilities. Judges need to be compassionate yet tough. They must be fair to everyone, even the unpopular. They should be experts on the law, but also understand the realities of life and the difficulties people face.
Brad would be that judge!
Brad has dedicated his career to fighting for the disadvantaged. Before he was an attorney, Brad was a social worker in underprivileged neighborhoods, helping students, teen mothers, and victims of child abuse.
As an attorney, Brad has litigated cases in Domestic Relations, Chancery, Probate, and Criminal Divisions. Most importantly, he's helped protect hundreds of victims of domestic violence and their children from further abuse.
Brad also is an active community leader. He served as Co-Chair of the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women's Network and on the Board of Directors of A New Direction Beverly-Morgan Park. He currently is an adjunct faculty member at John Marshall Law School's Domestic Violence Clinic.
We have the right to expect judges to be fair, honest, and hard-working. As voters, we also have the right to elect who become judges.
So let's exercise that right on March 20, 2018, by electing Bradley R. Trowbridge for Cook County Judge!
